It
goes without saying that your wedding is one of
the most important events in your life. My approach
to wedding photography is to document the day as
an unfolding event rather than a series of staged
photographs, and to minimize the time spent going
through a checklist of pre-planned photos.
My
goal is for the bride and groom to spend as much
time on the day of their celebrated union with their
family and friends, to avoid too many of the stiff group
shots, and to have the day documented by an experienced
photographer.
o
I spent over ten years as a newspaper photographer
and take a great deal of pride in letting my photojournalistic
style show through in my wedding work. I try to
stay as unobtrusive as possible, capturing the emotions
and little moments of the day that the bride and
groom might not otherwise have the chance to experience.
-
I shoot with multiple professional film and digital cameras and use the
services and products of several of the finest
professional photo labs available.
-
I like to show up early the day of the wedding
and shoot the bride and groom mingling with their
friends, making their final preparations as the
ceremony approaches. This might include getting
dressed, just visiting or decorating their
ceremony site. A few moments with
the bride and groom either together or separately
prior to the ceremony makes for some genuine and reflective portraits.
-
Quietly and unobtrusively Ill photograph the
ceremony, and will usually conclude the day covering your
reception.
Previously,
I was an award winning publication photojournalist.
I now spend my time with private clients, producing
images and preserving the memory of the special
days in our lives.
